Situation in Mexico
Mexican artisans embody an incredibly rich, centuries-old cultural heritage. Their work reflects the cultural diversity of our country and the creative wealth of our craft techniques.
However, 70% of them live in extreme poverty, mostly in indigenous communities.
How do we contribute?
At Canuto we design and craft all our products in partnership with 12 communities of Mexican artisans in the states of Baja California, Chiapas, Mexico, Michoacán, and Puebla; and in Mexico City
We rigorously follow fair trade practices, creating economic and social development opportunities in artisans' communities.
